See How the DRC is Helping You & the LA Dance Community

Our Los Angeles Dance Community was severely and immediately impacted by the March shelter-at-home order since the vast majority earn income from performing, teaching and delivering health and fitness services. Additionally, a majority of our LA Dance Community Members are gig workers, who did not have access to unemployment insurance until May and that insurance has now ended. Within two weeks of the shelter-at-home order, the DRC set up a system to respond to the crisis and immediate needs of the community. We received 202 applications and with the support of our partners, funders and donations, we’re able to award 202 relief packages. Since our initial distribution, more funding has been raised and distributed. With your continued support we will continue to raise funds and distribute them to as many Members of our LA Dance Community as possible.
