In recognition of her longstanding role as supporter of dance in Los Angeles, the Board of Directors of Dance Resource Center is pleased to name Laura Bleiberg inaugural LA Dance Champion. DRC has created this honor, to be given at the Board’s discretion to those who have worked tirelessly to support and uplift Los Angeles dance and the Los Angeles dance community. Laura, through her dance criticism and writings, has heralded all aspects of dance in Los Angeles. Laura also spent three years in arts administration giving her a unique understanding of what it takes to create and produce dance performance.

“Dance Resource Center is honored to be able to thank Laura in this way for her years of work championing the LA dance community.” – Albertossy Espinoza, DRC Chair
