MAP Fund is hiring 54 artists and arts professionals from across the country to review proposals for the 2018 grant cycle. We invite you to nominate yourself and / or members of your community who: Have a deep knowledge of live performance works and practices; Embody a spirit of generosity towards colleagues and peers; Have an interest in learning about a vast range of creative work being made across the U.S. this year. We’re accepting responses through August 7, 2017! Submit your nominations here. Why does MAP incorporate a "review side" in the grantmaking process? We believe it's essential that artists and arts professionals who seek grants have opportunities to: learn about the incredible projects thousands of artists are creating; gain a deeper understanding of MAP's review process and criteria; influence how resources are distributed. MAP welcomes the greatest range of points of view with respect to aesthetics, artistic practices, geographies, identities, etc.Program Manager Lauren Slone shared thinking about MAP's funding criteria and review process in a new blog post for Animating Democracy's Excellence and Equity in Arts for Change blog salon.
