11:30AM - Movement For Vitality: Qigong
Join qigong instructor Steven Washington for a 1 hour movement class guaranteed to help reduce your stress and increase your energy and vitality.

1:00PM - Every Artist Insured: Finding Affordable Health Insurance
1:00PM - Exploring the Emotional Stages of Change as Artists
This group session will take an intimate look at mapping one's change curve and help better identify what aspects of one's personal life can be let go of, and what can be added in order to provide a fulfilling artistic life and dance career. Using Kubler-Ross stages of grief as a reference tool, we can reflect on what stage we identify with most and relate it to who we are as professional dancers.
2:30PM - Eating Mindfully for the Dancing Body
Dancers have unique nutrition needs to support their busy active lives. Learn how to meet your needs for adequate nutrients while eating mindfully. Even on a rehearsal break, feel connected to your body's internal cues of hunger and fullness to support your work. Exercises covered will provide a variety of tools that may help you deepen your relationship to a sense of nourishment, and maintain a positive relationship with food while fueling the active body.
Information tables will be manned by other health professionals focusing on needs such as nutrition, sexual health, emotional and financial well-being. Since the event is taking place during the Affordable Care Act open enrollment period—in state through Covered California—The Actors Fund will be on hand to help attendees navigate through the various insurance options as well.
