DRC is committed to keeping community members up to date on performances, events, job listings, classes, auditions, artist opportunities, news and advocacy with DRC’s weekly newsletter. Only DRC members are permitted to submit events to the newsletter. Click here to get on our mailing list to receive Dance News.
All members of the community are invited to submit a request to us to send out an individualized e-blast for an event to our mailing lists. Unlike our newsletter, which is sent weekly and contains announcements from the whole community, an e-blast is for your event exclusively. It can be scheduled for any date/time you prefer.
DRC members can submit events and classes to online calendar. Submissions can be made via the website once you logged into you DRC account.
We host several convenings throughout the year, including our quarterly Coffee and Conversation and Cocktails and Conversation. Check our website for more details on upcoming convenings. They are found under "Community" and "Convenings."All members of the dance community are invited to attend our convenings.
The Dance Resource Center presents the Lester Horton Awards, an evening devoted to celebrating Southern California’s dance community and those who keep it thriving. The Horton Awards event continues to celebrate artists, dancers, and choreographers. The Awards, however, aim to recognize advocates, educators, presenters, and funders in an effort to shed light on additional key players in the LA dance scene who advance the field of dance and fuel the diversity and vibrancy of the Los Angeles arts community.

Need administrative and managerial support? Having trouble finding reliable staff to work with on an on-going basis? Spending too much time training staff? Staffing offers three affordable platforms leading to a personalized administrative system that sustains your creative vision and practice. We work closely with Artistic Directors, project-based choreographers, Executive Directors, Festival Directors—“those in charge”—to define infrastructure needs and then assign a Program Manager who works directly with you. We offer professional oversight, nurture the success of each relationship, and provide support and professional development.
DRC can help you raise and manage funds to support your work by acting as a fiscal sponsor for your organization. Your donors can make tax-deductibel donations to your organization or project without you having to become a 501(c)(3). Click the link above for more details.
We offer affordable hourly consultations focusing on all the areas dance makers, festival directors, and arts administrators need to create and sustain an individually designed infrastructure.
Funders and Project Directors/Administrators can hire us to provide support and technical assistance to grantees and project participants. DRC works with public and private funders and project directors/administrators to provide best practices, affordable, creative and individualized support.
It can be a challenge to continue to grow and evolve as a dance maker. Self-production is something often learned through trial and error. Home Grown programming supports the maturation and growth of LA area dance makers' creative process and work; and provides opportunities to explore and address issues relating to the production and presentation of dance in Los Angeles.
