O Solitude, My sweetest choice!

LACE is looking for five dancers / performers to work with the Paris and Tunisia based choreographer Radhouane El Meddeb from November 21 to December 3, 2016 (except November 24-25). There is no gender, body type, or ethnicity requirement, dancers must be available for the two weeks (excluding Thanksgiving days November 24-25) roughly seven hours a day. Prospective performers can apply with links to their resumé, photographs and video samples of their movements. They will be compensated for rehearsals and performances at a rate of $100/day.
Radhouane El Meddeb is a choreographer and dancer from Tunisia, currently based in France. His work addresses taboos and normative expectations within Arab culture through dance. By transcribing feminine movements with the male body, El Meddeb explores and questions cultural understandings of sexuality and gender in Arab religion, mythology and contemporary representations in Western media.
