Under the general supervision of the Director of Marketing & Communications (DMC), the Communications Manager develops, manages, and executes comprehensive communication strategy and campaigns for Center for the Art of Performance at UCLA (CAP UCLA).
Major functions include the strategic and creative positioning of CAP UCLA in local, national, and international media including securing press coverage for events; writing press releases and media advisories; acting as the program spokesperson; and serving as CAP UCLA's representative at performances, fundraising, and campus events. The Communications Manager serves as the primary publicity liaison to media, artists, artist representatives and the general public. Provides expert communications counsel; reports to CAP UCLA Senior Management and staff as needed. Works on evening/weekend events as needed.
