California Arts Council- The California Arts Council is a state agency governed by an 11-member policy-setting council appointed by the Governor and the Legislature to advance the state through the Arts and creativity. The agency helps build strong arts organizations at the local and statewide level, directly supports arts programs for all citizens, assists with the professional development of arts leaders, supports arts education in schools in all areas of the state, and promotes awareness of the value of the Arts.
California Arts Advocates- California Arts Advocates (CAA), provides advocacy services for California’s arts community. CAA provides professional advocacy for all arts stakeholders in California, from the smallest troupe to the largest institution, from the solo artist to the largest organization, from the most diverse to the most mainstream, regardless of cultural segment or economic standing.
Americans for the Arts- Americans for the Arts' mission is to serve, advance, and lead the network of organizations and individuals who cultivate, promote, sustain, and support the arts in America. They provide policy and advocacy tools, research and information, professional development opportunities, and provide visibility for the arts. As the nation's leading advocate for the arts and arts education, they work to secure increased resources for the arts and arts education at the local, state, and federal level to influence public and private policy.
Dance/USA- Dance/USA is a National Dance Service organization for the professional dance field. As advocates, they represent the interests of the national dance community before Congress, the White House, and federal agencies. Dance/USA works with the broader arts field to advocate for the development of national arts policies that recognize and strengthen the cultural community's ability to contribute to American life. They do this as a founding member of the Performing Arts Alliance and as a National Co-Sponsor for Arts Advocacy Day.
